Cannon the Dog needs a home
Cannon came to us from a shelter in Illinois that had some pipes burst during this crazy winter. He needed immediate rescue due to lack of space. At this time, he is still under medical treatment for his heartworms; but is doing great, and we are accepting applications for his forever family! He is a lover of all people, dogs, and cats he met so far. He has everyone at the vet office swooning when he goes for his appointments. He is a playful active young boy, about 2 years old. Trying to keep him calm while going through his heartworm treatments isn't easy; because he wants to play and have fun. He also likes to cuddle on the couch with his humans and foster brother and sister, especially on lazy Sundays and movie nights. Once he is able to exercise, he would be great for an active family, as well as a bff to any other doggies in the house. He crates like a dream, and stays busy with his benebone and treat filled kong while relaxing. Cannon is learning some basic commands; but can still get overly excited, so may be best suited in a home with older children.
